I have been interested in Portable Apps a very long time. Through previous experience i do know that not all apps can be made portable. I, however, am unsure of what qualifies a app for portability.
The app that i have recently become interested in is Robocode, which is a programming game where the human player develops AI code for a robot, and then pits his or her respective robot(s) against other robots. It is open source and is on sourceforge at http://robocode.sourceforge.net/
I do know that for this to work, the JRE is necessary. The JDK is good to have, but not necessary.
Hopefully this is able to be made portable, and if it is, i believe it would be an interesting project to take up. If not, i will have to go and just install it on all of the possible computers i may be using.
This Game just tickled my Fancy, he he.
Don't ask...
But it says:
"- Java 5.0 or newer is required for running Robocode"
and I know Open Office comes with portable Java (Here: https://portableapps.com/support/openoffice_portable#java
So It might happen
