Thunderbird _ ERROR sending of user name did not succed. Mail server localhost responded: hotmail.com is a unsupported domain

i have been using tb for 3 months and have properly installed the add ons, as described on the site. when i open it the message "sending of user name did not succed. Mail server localhost responded: hotmail.com is a unsupported domain"

Its weird because when i open an previous back up of my pendrive on my pc it opens normally! I just don't know what else i can do.

Please help!

is unsupported on the server, so you might ask the provider who is operating the server what is this supposed to do.
I know there are servers around which give some similar response with gmail.com
