aMSN - Passwords

Hi just a quickie. Is it ok to save your passwords in aMSN without them being saved to the host PC, registry or that as with Pidgin?

Yes

It looks like they're saved in an xml file, and encoded as well. Whereas Pidgin does not encode passwords at this point.
