Individual RSS Feed/Newsletter for update notifications

Hi,

Many of my friends are using PortableApps, but they have difficulties knowing about new updates so I have a suggestion:

a) While logged in, I can specify the Apps I use and I get email-update-notifications for these only.

b) Does the RSS feed support parameters so I can tell it to filter and only display the Apps I want ?

If these suggestions cause too much work for the Developpers or doesnt make sense to you, I could make a script to acomplish b)
Either in PHP or ASP.NET. Only hosting would be difficult as I dont have a place to host it.
