I'm using Portable Firefox and my question is, when I right click and save an item [picture, attachment, page...]directly to my USB drive, is there a copy or trace of it on the host computer I used?

there shouldn't be, as far as i know. The download manager built into Firefox would handle this by default, and any data from this is handled by the FirefoxPortable.exe launcher and is stored on the USB drive.

The picture will appear in recent documents list (start > recent documents), but won't be acessible if your pendrive isn't connected to the computer.
