Yesterday i just downloaded Cornice from portableapps.com and it's working good.
Unfortunately i'm seeking for more basic editing feature like resizing and cropping image which is not available in current version.
I know GIMP can do more advance editing than Cornice but for me GIMP is a little bit too hard to get used to. Since i usually edit my picture in my home using Photoshop or ACDSee and i only need resize and crop feature when i'm surfing or working with email at my office.
So i think it would be great if Cornice has that basic editing feature.
Wait, you're asking us this? We didn't make the app, we only packaged it so that it would run from a portable device. If you want more features in the app itself, you'll have to get in touch with the Cornice developers.
We can answer this a little friendlier, can't we?
While Bruce is right that we didn't develop Cornice, we are actively seeking a Python developer to move it forward. Editting may be a bit outside of the scope of a simple viewing app like this, though. Cropping in GIMP isn't any more complicated than Photoshop, really. We are looking for some solid apps to fit in between GIMP and Cornice, though.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I Guess i have to contact the python developer then.
I know GIMP is more simple than Photshop but the way that this application appear a little bit to awkward for me. i have to move the main window over here and the layer window over there to fit the image i edit. that's why i hope Cornice can do more basic editing that i mentioned earlier.
Thanks
Did you try our PhotoShop Layout and Background Window add-ons for GIMP Portable? They may make it feel better to you.

i know about that addons and i tried it. it's weird but i think it didn't compatible with my GIMP 2.4 The background window, main window and layer window are still in diffrent window. Now i have 3 windows in my taskbar instead of 2 before i install those plugins. Plus the background window wont close when quit the program. it's still open until now.
Maybe i should upgrade to GIMP 2.6?
The background window only works with GIMP Portable 2.6. And 2.6 is a pretty big upgrade from 2.4.

Looks like they're stop developing this program.
i guess i have to stay with GIMP then until there's another application that suit my preference....
This isn't an offical app but it is handy. its freeware so wont be here for a while till were able to expand but in the mean time check it out here.

Thanks for the info. i'll download it later.
I think what you need is Irfanview.
Not a portable app per se, but it's a great image browser with a nice set of basic editing features.
