Help with Save As

I'm using FireFox Portable 3.0.3 and I can't seem to use save or save as. I've tried it on multiple computers all WinXP SP2 (or possibly 3 for some). All the computers are library computers with limited access but, everything else works.

What happens?

Do you get an error message?
Does Firefox Portable crash?
Is the field greyed out?
or...?

Should of put more detail

Sorry bout that, I was rushing and didn't think about those details. It literally does nothing. I click one of the icons and the drop down disappears like normal but, it does nothing, no crashing or anything. It's like instead of the save and save as commands it's just a close menu command. Nothing else fails not even open which is closely related enough.

hm

Thats tough.
Before I say "Sorry I cant help you with that as I never experienced it with version 3", try reinstalling a freshly downloaded copy from the firefox page.

That'll be the next step

I've not been on my home system for a while so I've not had the opportunity to try that yet. I'm thinking I may have accidentally deleted one of the files necessary when trying to make flash work. The original instructions I read for that directed me to a plugins folder that doesn't work so I had to try copying and pasting to other places. Until I found the right folder. (they're are 2 folders for plugins one that was created because it's a portable app and that's supposed to work and the other (the one that works) that's part of the original firefox program.-I believe they fixed that error later on.)

Edit: I reinstalled firefox portable and apparently fixed the problem, I must accidently deleted the save as DLL when trying to get flash to work. Unfortunately I forgot to back things up so I'm desperately trying to remember what I had installed. Almost fixed, I have now added the ability to use java on certain computers by the same method as flash and shockwave. I am of course still limited by if it's installed at all on the system.

How to make Firefox Portable find Java, installed on E:\

Hi gregnorris,
are you still working on Firefox portable and Java?
Maybe you can help me solving my "problem".
I'm using Windows XP Pro (installed on C:\), Firefox Portable 3.0.10 ("installed" on E:\) and Java JRE 6.0.13

When Java is installed on C:\Programs - - Firefox Portable finds it automatically and websites using java work fine.
BUT when Java is installed on another partition - - NOTHING! Even copying of ALL .dll-files from Java/bin into FF Plugin folders (as somebody suggested in another forum) didn't help.

Any idea?

Problem solved, registry was in a mess with old entries
