Migrating from normal Portable FF 1.5.0.2 to the U3 version?

Migrating from normal Portable FF 1.5.0.2 to the U3 version?

I currently have Portable FF 1.5.0.2 on my normal 2GB non-u3 drive. I now have a 4GB Sandisk Cruzer Micro U3 and have downloaded/installed the u3 version of FF from u3.com but how can I migrate all my extensions from the current version to the U3 version? Or is it just best to restall all my extensions? Im not new to this stuff but I am new to this U3 thing.

I tried just copying over

I tried just copying over the profile from my current ff over to the new ff but ff wont open. Sad

PFF to U3 PFF

1. Where did you copy the profile to? The U3 version has a different file name.

Mine looks like this:
x:\System\Apps\3C9F7B3F-D55C-42cd-8537-B878518B73AF\Data\profile

This is what I ended up doing with mine.

I tried coppying also when I got a U3 drive. Not much success.

I ended up exporting my bookmarks to an html file. Then importing them in the new copy.

I also reinstalled all of my extentions.

I have MR Tech Local Install so it was easy to list them with the tools.

The only thing I lost was my saved passwords, but I think there is a way to copy that also.

Life is about the journey not the destination!
