ChordsTest.exe --- http://www.qmidi.com/
This is the only Software I've found that works relatively efficiently as a portable music notation version. It's a self-executing program too...no need for install or any registry files. Size is approx. 1 Megabyte. Relatively simple but effective! File can be saved as .MID (MIDI Format).
Can WOW I would be into this. Is anyone look into it.
An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

iLike Macs, iPwn, However you put it... Apple is better ^_^
"Claiming that your operating system is the best in the world because more people use it is like saying McDonalds makes the best food in the world..."
As per the above reply, this is a FREEWARE Program, although it is not an 'Open Source Type' and the License Agreement specifically prohibits any form of modification, which prevents it from being compiled for PortableApps (paf.exe) type of self-executing Program. Possibly, the Owner might be contacted concerning the modification for same.
I found one that is really nice and is a freeware version known as 'TuxGuitar' at: http://www.tuxguitar.com.ar/ and may be suitable as a portable application.
perhaps you could try musicscore. Just search for it with the little box in the upper right hand corner.
