I am running toucan portable 2.0.1 and it is to slow!
I am trying to backup to a Gigabit NAS - about 44.000 files in 6.000 folders need to be checked for there date: Even the ckecking takes about 3 hours!
Maybe you should create a database where the dates (timestamp) of the files in the backup directory is stored and compare this to the date (timestamp) of the files from the source.
Of course this would mean the user should not change the files in the backup by hand - but this (described feature) could also be an option (for people like me). It would make the backup process much faster for cases similar to me where people simply want to backup somewhere (and do not intent to manipulate by hand).
