Server gets 'Negative vibes'

I have installed TBP with the Webmail and Hotmail plug-ins.

When I try to get mail from hotmail, the following happens:
- the status line says that it is connecting to the server,
- a popup then asks for password,
- then another popup saying the server received "Negative Vibes" while processing my password,
- it then asks for my password again,
- then the sattus line goes blank and no emails downloaded.

I have read the info about how to install and setup Webmail from that website and also all I can find here in the forum. I am probably doing something wrong but cannot figure out what.

Can anyone help?
Thank you

Found a newer Hotmail plul-in (hotmail-1-2-19b49.xpi) and installed it.

No change - still getting the same error.
Thanks

Tell me again why we use hotmail?

You can also try updating to web-mail-1-3-3b3. A few users report at least partial success with the most recent plugin versions.

WebMail files

Good luck with the updates, but they don't always help. Sometimes one account will begin to function normally, while a second account continues on with the same old errors. Worth a try.. until a permanent fix becomes available.

Thanks for that. I installed

Thanks for that.
I installed it, but no change. Still getting the 'Negative vibes'.

By the way I saw another recommendation in the WebMail Forum. That was to roll back to older versions - to web-mail-1-1-4.xpi and hotmail-1-1-6.xpi. I did that but also no help.

It looks like I need to wait until there is proper fix.
Thanks anyway.

hint

As you have read the WebMail-Forum you will be aware that the misbehaviour of the webmail/hotmail-plugin is due to changes of the web-site-layout of hotmail/livemail. Have you already logged into the hotmail-webinterface since the installation of the hotmail-plugin? After msn changing their layout there is a kind of welcome-screen that you will have to confirm before your inbox is loaded. Make sure that you set the option "never show this page again" at the welcome screen as some people in the forum noted that they were able to log into hotmail via thunderbird after setting this option.
This might help,
regards

//edit

I also had the negative vibes... just installed the hotmail-b49-plugin... no problems for me anymore!
