Hi,
I understand that Firefox portable itself doesn't store anything in the local computer, but does the plugins and the add-ons that we are using on the firefox portable storing anything on the computer?
I'm currently using Shockwave Plugin, Dictionaries & Language Packs and DownloadHelper 3.5.1(which I chanegd the download location).
Oh, and when I go to K:\FirefoxPortable\Data\plugins, I can only find np32dsw.dll, does that mean DownloadHelper is not installed on the usb key or something like that?
Thanks in advance
Nearly all extensions are portable. Nearly all plugins are not portable as most are just a connection DLL to a locally-installed application. The Flash plugin can run portably from within Firefox Portable without also being installed on the local PC but will store all settings including privacy-busting Local Stored Objects on the local PC.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
So then, is it possible to erase those "Local Stored Objects" afterward? Or are we simply better off without the Flash plugin, if we want to keep our privacy?
You can erase them manually or you can use a Firefox extension like Objective to view and erase them. We don't do it automatically because Flash shares these objects between all browsers (Firefox, IE, Opera, Firefox Portable, etc) in a single location. To go in a remove them we'd be impacting the local PC and possibly causing a local PC user to lose saved games within flash games, saved settings within YouTube, etc. So, we don't touch them right now.

John, where can I find Objective extension?
I tried to google it and the Mozila Addons website without any luck.
Thanks
Sorry, it's called Objection: http://objection.mozdev.org/

Welcome asd,
in addition to what John said;
note that DownloadHelper is not a plugin and you will not find it in \FirefoxPortable\Data\plugins,
Is is most likely in \FirefoxPortable\Data\profile\extensions\
The FFP I'm using right now does not have that extension but I do have it on another setup.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
Ok thanks!
