I have about 30 DivX videos and over a thousand MP3s, WMAs, and M4As burned to some CD-Rs. I'm looking for a "library" system that would let me type in what I want to watch/listen to, and it tells me what CD it's on. I'm also looking for a portable media player with playlist support -- I'd love to use VLC, if it supports it; I've never really touched it. Would anyone have any ideas?

VLC does have a playlist support and it can also search a song (filename) from that playlist, it works perfectly fine for me, though I never had a playlist of thousand so, not sure if VLC would support it or not, why not give it a try and see what happens?
