Mplayer portable currently passes commandline parameters to the playlist and not to the program. Quite a big bug.

Parameters entered in the INI file or passed to the MPlayerPortable.exe launcher are for passing commands to MPUI, the frontend, not to MPlayer itself. You can pass additional parameters to MPlayer in the MPUI GUI within Tools - Options and enter them in the Additional Parameters line.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Ah that clears it up a bit. Perhaps you can help me with another problem. I'm trying to use Mplayer as a video player for podcast/videos that I download from the net. The problem is that when i download the files a separate instance of Mplayer Portable is opened for each file. Is there currently a way to limit Mplayer Portable to one instance and add the extra files to the playlist?
I know that this similar feature is usable in coolplayer+portable I just have "-add" as one of the additional parameters for cp+p, works like a gem.
