tb and ptb simoultaneusly

Hello,

is it possible to run thunderbird 1.5.02 and portable thunderbird 1.5.02 on a winXP at the same time.

Everytime I start portable thunderbird and thunderbird is already running (and viceversa) it says that thunderbird is already running.

Yes

It is, but it can cause issues between the two in the newest version. PTB backs up and then restores TB registry keys and start and exit. There is an INI setting to allow multiple instances which disables the backup... so if you have TB set to check if it's the default, PTB will check on launch, too.

Check the readme in PortableThunderbird\Other\PortableThunderbirdSource for full details and a sample INI file.
