Application Support

Hi There,
I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right forum.
If I submit a portable app do I have to continually support it?
The app is written and works but I possibly will not provide ongoing updates.
Like here,

..you are willing to support it on an ongoing basis (at least 6 months).

What exactly does this mean? Ongoing updates for 6 months or every 6 months?
More or less if my project becomes inactive what happens?

Thanks,
Todd

how I do it is I support apps

how I do it is I support apps with the current version. If I complete a new version then support for the old one drops in favor of the new version.

Yes, but I'm talking that I

Yes, but I'm talking that I have written this application, and I possibly will not
have time to write new versions.

Exactly what does support mean? (I thought it meant updates?)
Thanks all the same.

peoples questions goes

peoples questions goes unanswered, no big fixes etc basically the reverse of what I previously said unless the project was an Open-Source licensed project then someone could provide a fork of said app and continue it via a new name but with the original author's name as the creator's original work but modified by such and such
