A far better option would be to use Pidgin with either the Off The Record or Pidgin Encrypt plugins. Both are used by lots of people all over the world. Many operating systems ship with Off The Record built in (Ubuntu for instance) and Adium, one of the most popular multi-IM clients on the Mac also has OTR built in.
Plus, both Pidgin and OTR are open source and have already been packaged portably in PortableApps.com Format. So, I'm not sure that Brosix would add anything. Plus, it's closed source, so we'd need to ask for permission, find alternative hosting, etc. And, from my meeting, Brosix only appears to work with Brosix (not AOL, Yahoo, MSN, QQ, ICQ, etc like Pidgin) so it wouldn't be terribly useful to the general population. Their forum only has 33 members.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
