I run Firefox 2.0.0.17 on a Sandisk U3 cruzer. The temp files are located on the hard drive. About every 3 seconds it freezes typing and mouse movements and clicks. For example: here is (freeze) some sample (freeze) text. I have the following extensions: Better Gmail2; Google toolbar for Firefox; imacros for Firefox; Permatabs; Plain old favorites; Speed dail; and Stumbleupon.
Any ideas on how to cure this?

If you're using Firefox for U3 from the U3 Launchpad, that's not done by us. It's an unofficial version of an old version of an app I did a while back and isn't supported by anyone anymore.
If you're using Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition from here, then that shouldn't really be the case unless you're running an extension that saves sessions (states of all the tabs, etc).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I sometimes have had similar problems with Pidgin Portable and/or Thunderbird Portable... It may have to do with the number of portable apps being run from a memory stick, or the amount of space remaining on the stick... I also have an external hard drive that I have no problems like this at all...
aka Major PITA... ask me what it means, as you will be amused...
