Hi guys
I know this is a base thunderbird issue but I find help is faster forthcoming than at other sites. Basically I need to install the SwitchProxy addon for Thunderbird so I access my email from my new job site.
I tried installing the night tester tools but that too requires Thunderbird 3 something.
Basically how was it I hack the rdf? I recall doing it with Firefox but can't recall how or find instructions. Thanks for you help guys.
MR Tech Toolkit extension? It's similar to the Nightly tester tool ext. It forces
an incompatible extension to install, (but with possible crashes). I have forced one or two extensions (Firefox 2 to Firefox 3) without any problems. It works with both Firefox and Thunderbird. I'm not an expert or anything, this is just a suggestion, so use at your own risk if you decide to try it.
I ended up installing a 2 versions old copy of the Tester tools so was able to install the tester tools. Unfortunately due to my new workplaces firewall and restricted ICT policies I still couldn't access my gmail via Thunderbird. To add insult to injury their Dial-Up connection made it so I couldn't access the gmail site using Firefox portable I know about the html version of Gmail but cant switch as it doesn't even make it to the loading screen where you choose from. Oh well. I can access my gmail using the IE on the pc and to ensure no passwords orsuch left behind I'll use CCleaner and Clean After Me each Friday before signing off. Anyway, the original issue was solved by installing the older version of Nightly Tester Tools.
Thanks for the help.
