Portable SIP VoiP phone

I found this cool little application to make PC-to-PC calls from my thumb drive. Unfortunately you have to have know the IP address of the computer you are calling, and the other party must have this application running on their end to to receive calls. It's pretty neat though because it's so small and it really does well with low bandwidth connections! Here is the download site http://www.vitez.it/picophone/

PicoPhone

Thanks for this posting - i really like it. It's small neat and effective. I have a simple view that the smaller a package is the less bugs one is likely to have!

I can't say i have a great need for the portability side other than i'm slowly running more portable applications to save reinstalling when i have problems with a hard drive.

There are too many VOIP packages now i feel and to keep in touch with all ones friends involves a lot of software. For me Miranda and Pico are a neat combination. Anyone one from the UK might like to try Tesco Internetphone. Although initiated by a supermarket chain it's a good package for calling landlines cheaply aswell.

I'd be grateful if someone with PicPhone could get in touch so i can test it.

thanks
