Hi,
Till this moment I was using web based email. Now I decided to use Thunderbird portable mail client. I have tons of emails in server. I fill preferences in my portable client so I was able to download all emails from Inbox folder. But I have no idea how to dowload emails from other folders like: Sent and custom one?
I am kindly asking for help/ advice.

Are you using POP3 or IMAP4?
What mail server are you using? (eg. Gmail, Yahoo)
With POP you can only download the inbox. (unless you send stuff to yourself, or move it into the inbox.)
it very much depends on the server settings and configuration and also the server software as such.
I know number of servers, one is of my previous company, which can not pass any other folders except those being sub folders of inbox.
Other servers I cam across will only pass on folders outside of the inbox if those were kind of 'system folders' created in advance there and by the user later.
Anyway, safest you send all the stuff folder by folder to yourself and organize it locally again.
This all is the drawback of many webmail services, they are nice , full of colors, free, but when it come to serious usage....
