I know Hamachi has already been requested and there were issues about the source code not being available.
Well I found this with some searching. I haven't used it yet, but it seems to do pretty much the same thing as Hamachi. And it's an open-source program.
This would be useful for my non-gaming needs at my not-school when my non-friends and I don't get bored.

Anyone think they could make this runnable off of a flash drive?
no can do, requires a driver to install which would mean administrators account would be needed, not really useful because of that.
They say it's open-source but license says more or less that it is freeware with source code available.
Sorry mate I don't think anyone would be able to do this.

You can download and use Wippien for free, both for personal and commercial usage. If you like Wippien, you can adjust or rebrand it to suit your needs. Source code is available and can be downloaded from our website.
Wippien uses several 3rd party components which needs to be licensed separately. Note that you still need to obtain licenses for those components if you plan to rebuild Wippien on your own.
