Hi Guys,
im new to this portable apps stuff, but im loving it so far. But i got all the apps i needed and had them running fine, and had my data on it from work and from home.
But then one day i started up firefox and all my add-on's had dissapeared and all the bookmarks, as if it was just loaded on, and then when i put data on it copied and showed up but when i tried to get it on another pc the folder was empty. Also my instant messaging lost its settings and had to set it up every time i plugged it in for like 3 days. So i then formated the stick and only put the minimum programs on i wanted, and after a week or so the same is happening again.
Please help!

He's reporting that his settings are lost as he moves from computer to computer.
Are you launching Your application from "X:\PortableApps\AppNamePortable\AppNamePortable.exe"???
Where as AppName and
replace your drive letter and application you're running?
Are you using any ejection or termination applications???
Like EjectUSB??? Or killing stuff with the Task Manager???
what i do is i plug it in, go to 'my computer' and then double click on the startportableapps.exe and ive done that every time, and worked fine to start with. Also im not using an ejector app, i just shut down pc and unplug?

When you turn off your computer. Do you use the off button on the Computer or Start --> Shut Down --> Shut Down???
You need to unplug BEFORE you turn off your computer.
On the menu, click on the button on the left (There's one with an X and one with a ^ then a _ under it. Click on the one with ^ and _ under it.). This will close the menu and then, when the window pops up, SAFELY remove it :P. If it doesn't let you because it says something is still running, possibly one of the PortableApps is still open. After you click the X button in the Top right corner on windows of PortableApps, it usually takes about a minute until actually closes.
Alright, try this and see if it fixes your problem.
