I was wondering how to make the registry file be written to the data folder of my app instead of in the computers registry. Thnaks.

He means 7-Zip Portable...
Not the actual 7-Zip app, which I thought he was talking about at first.
Humm.
The registry IS saved in local registry, but after 7-ZipPortable or WhateverelsePortable is closed, the registry is exported to a .reg file within Data folder.
