Sorry if this has been asked before but I could not find the info...
Is it possible in any way to start one or more applications automatically when I manually run StartPortableApps.exe? Either using PortableApps or some other tool...

This is not possible with the current release, but it is planned and will be added in a future version of the platform.

You could use the unofficial modR34 menu. It is an unofficial fork of the PAM but it allows programs to be started at startup and also it allows categories in the menu
PAM will support this some time in the future.
