Since at school and work the system tray is locked, something like the U3 box would be nice. its like a box on the desktop that you can click and it performs the same function as just clicking the system tray icon. thanks for listening!

As a new member, you may find it useful to use the search function before requesting an app.
But even better, take a look at the apps that are in development!
You can get there by going to the Development page and clicking on Test Releases.
There are a lot of really interesting things going on there, and most are in a pretty functional state - just pending minor bug fixes.

Also, take a look a the Cylog Toolbox - it's not paf, but it is portable.

And in your search, try to type "portableapps desktop icon"
In the next release, it will automatically create an icon like that if it can't create its systray icon. You can also set it to use one every time.
