Firefox Portable will not store bookmarks

I recently discovered that Firefox Portable is not allowing me to save bookmarks at all. What could be a reason for this problem?

Really?

It works fine for me. Have you looked at all your bookmarks and your "bookmarks" folders? Or have you gone to "Bookmarks>recently bookmarked" on the toolbar above the navigation toolbar?
