Quick question please! How can I stop the Add-Ons window from popping up when Firefox starts?
It keeps launching because of locally installed add-ons (such as Realplayer)...
Thanks!

and infact behaves like the local installation. This can happen when someone updated the FF via the mozilla updater or did run the firefox.exe instead of firefoxporatble etc.
I dont know abt the realplayer, but some addons are not portable by themselves, it could be that the real does all that mess by itself.

I want to know this too! Depending on which PC I plug my USB key into, I get the Extension/Addon window popping up nearly everytime - If I plug it into my vista machine - I get a .NET extension installed, when I plug it into my XP machine, an AVG extension. I don't mind them getting installed/added but it happens everytime.....
Anyone got a commandline argument we can use or even another extension to fix this?
tool, options, advanced, update and romove not only the update of the FF itself (should be diabled on portables ) but also other updates.
The current story with .net update is however some strange thing, it installs itself from where ever, normally any installations of updates are anyway asking you first, this is the first one I have seen installing itself automatically.
Found that this is installed automatically not from mozilla, but rather from the local installation of .net as soon as it finds a browser without this it seems to attempt to install it into it. I find it one of those strange thing MS is doing.
