Diagram Designer is a simple vector graphics editor for creating flowcharts, UML class diagrams, illustrations and slide shows.
It doesn't require installation, but it appears to save settings in the registry.
It is freeware, and I am pretty sure it is open source too.

Version 1.20 has been made open source and it has been mentioned before here

That's a +1 for me. I happened across this while looking at LiberKey.. Yeah! yeah! I know
Does this differ significantly from DiaPortable?
IMHO it is more stable than DIA and yes it is different
I'm just curious, as I happen to like Dia. What would you say are the best uses of each particular app? From the screenshots it looks a little less fiddly than Dia. Sometimes Dia can be awkward or cumbersome, but you get used to it.
Can we get a definition please of fiddly.....lol
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” Dr. Seuss
It's a word! Sort of...
To Fiddle
–verb (used without object)
1. to play on the fiddle.
2. to make trifling or fussing movements with the hands (often fol. by with): fiddling with his cuffs.
3. to touch or manipulate something, as to operate or adjust it; tinker (often fol. by with): You may have to fiddle with the antenna to get a clear picture on the TV.
4. to waste time; trifle; dally (often fol. by around): Stop fiddling around and get to work.
To be fiddly; to cause to fiddle.
The old story - Horses for courses.
It's much smaller and as mentioned elsewere, is less capable.
I have both this & DIA and for the limited use that I have makes this one my preferred choice.
From a quick look over it seems nice, but with less options then Dia. I didn't install, just looked at the screenshots
Too many lonely hearts in the real world
Too many bridges you can burn
Too many tables you can't turn
Don't wanna live my life in the real world
