computer saying stellarium is bigger then hard drive its on?

I looked at the free space on my computer and it says
that my flash drive is over 10 gigabytes when its capacity
is only 8GB.So for some reason it says that stellarium is taking up 10.5 gigabytes
This can become really annoying after time so is there a way to fix this?
