A nice app that I would like to see is Free Undelete by OfficeRecovery.com.
http://www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete/
I think that with the fact that a lot of IT guys may use this program as well, this might be a good one to add.
I am willing to try and do what is necessary to try get this going, I just don't understand where to start or what to do.
Thanks
That app is already nearly portable.
Here's how I determined this:
I downloaded the application from the developers site at
http://www.officerecovery.com/
I installed it in a folder on my USB drive.
In the folder are the files for the application, and interestingly an installer log.
INSTALL.LOG
Reading the install.log

As you can see it made a couple of directories on drive C, but there's nothing there. It also made some registry entries that seem to be related totally to the uninstaller.
It also made a program manager group but I pulled out the USB drive, went to another computer where the installer had not been run and clicked on
N:\\fru.exe and the program ran.
I can't say if it works perfectly since this was a brief test and I currently have nothing that needs to be undeleted. But someone can easily test this. I think it works. Can someone check this out?
Maybe the software developer of that ap could be persuaded to make a non-installed version. It looks about done to me!
