Picture as my homepage

Hello,

How can I use a picture as my homepage in FFP? I have created a small html file which displays my picture as homepage. The problem is that it only works with set path. If my pen drive is allocated different drive letter, FFP can't find the photo (placed with mypage.html file in profile folder). I have already tried several suggestions from other forums but none of them worked. Thanks.

Good question

I would think that if the picture were in the same folder as Firefox, a drive letter would be unnecessary.

Seems to me your best bet would be to find a picture hosting service which is not blacklisted anywhere you go, host the image there, and set the direct link as your homepage.

Or, since a lot of common picture hosting services are blacklisted, maybe you have a friend with a host, they can upload your picture and you can link to it.

If the picture's already online, try linking to that.

try... instead of Of

try...

instead of

Of course, your .html file has to be in the same folder (in this case "SomeFolder") as the picture (Hello.jpg, in this case).

So your html file will have to be in

J:\SomeFolder\****.html

Just Set It

Just set it as your homepage. The launcher will update the path as you move drives. Be sure you're using the current Firefox Portable launcher included with 3.0.10.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Picture as my homepage

Thank you all, guys. Now everything seems to work fine. Initially, even if both html file and the picture were in Data or Data/profile folder, my FFP 3.0.10 could not recognise new path (letter) for my home page files. And then it started to do so. Something got unstucked. Gremlin loose, me win! Smile
