I see Newegg.com bandied about here, as a place for computer hardware/software needs. I am needing a recommendation as to the best location for these. Is Newegg a reputable retailer and if not, can one be recommended? Thank you for your input, it's greatly appreciated.
Newegg is very reputable. I've done business with them many times and will continue to do so.

buy.com usually just has some other store selling the items, and it's not obvious when you look at the page. What really irritates me is that Google lists the item as if it were sold by buy.com because of the way buy.com has the pages set up. If buy.com is selling the item, it's all good, but otherwise you never know if that store will rip you off, and I doubt that buy.com would take any action if you got ripped off.

I seem to like Geeks.com recently due to them having some rediculously low prices on some hardware. a quad quadcore xeon computer with 32GB of ram and 160GB SAS for 500 dollars (upgradeable to 6TB) has left me speachless.
I am responding to my OP. Newegg is incredible, I placed my order on Thurs. early in the a.m. and it arrived on Friday afternoon. My order shipped from Cali, to S.E. US like, almost overnight. I am impressed. Orders from other sites take almost five to seven work days to arrive. Anyway, thanks for the info.
I rarely shop online but i trust newegg (not to mention their good prices (often around 7% bettert than other stores))
