Dear All,
I want to start a brand new TB on a new device but I would like to populate Personal Address Book with the contents of a correctly formatted tab-delimited text file. Using Import, whatever I try to do, all I can manage is a new named Address Book additional to Personal Address Book, while PAB remains empty, as does Collected Addresses. Any ideas? Thank you.

if you transfer it from other TB, you could just try to copy the abook.mab from the profile and this should do it.
Otherwise for imports, I installed addon called more functions for addressbook, this has more usual import , export functions then the standard.

You can just move contacts from one address book to another in TB. TB always imports to a new address book.

I imported the tab-delimited text file into a new addressbook called anynamewilldo; then copied them en masse to an empty Personal Address Book; finally deleted anynamewilldo.
