What .SQLITE file I gotta delete..?

Now what .SQLITE file I gotta delete if my Portable Firefox won't search from the search box? This happened in an older version, and just recently cropped up in 3.0.11. As I recall, uninstall/reinstall is only good for a day or so, if that; there's a .SQLITE file in the profile that gets corrupted, and a reinstall doesn't help, but deleting the file does.

search.sqlite?
urlclassifier3.sqlite?
formhistory.sqlite?
places.sqlite?

Pretty sure it was one of them, but I don't want to go deleting files arbitrarily. Thanks in advance. This is gonna keep coming up, I oughtta drop a note in the profile folder I can just refer back to next time. Wink

Perhaps just copy all of the

Perhaps just copy all of the files somewhere safe, then delete them one by one until you figure out which one it is.

But there’s no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Really?

Nobody knows this? Really? Because it seems like six months ago, a lot of people had this problem, and you could post any variation on the problem, and no fewer than six people would jump on the topic and post the solution. It was like a canned response using Clippings or something.

I suppose I may do what Taffin suggested, but I'm surprised that every single person who'd jump on a topic like this six months ago has come down with amnesia. Sarcasm and wit, not spiteful detraction, of course.

If it was happening so often...

have you tried searching?

I can remember there being problems with .sqlite files, but the ones I recall were that it wouldn't save bookmarks or history, which was a corrupt places.sqlite.

For your problem, I don't recall seeing it happen before, which is why I personally didn't jump on the topic straight away.

formhistory*.*

Found it. A quick search on "sqlite" got it for me. Had to go a couple pages in, but I found that it wasn't even that long ago that this was a big problem. Couple people posted about it in April 2009, just a couple months ago.

I just had formhistory.sqlite and formhistory.sqlite-journal, but someone in another topic said they had three files answering to formhistory*.*.

Anyway, I did as I said, made a "_notes" file in my profile directory I can check back on, should this happen again or should someone else have this problem. Because we can't always tell people to "just search". They're too lazy, or the first page of results aren't helping, leaves a bad taste in their mouth, they may as well be using "that other site". Just download your app from rapidshare/megaupload and if you have a problem, JFGI... nah, we need a better source of information, and the support page for the apps are kinda out of date. I'll add this problem/solution to the wikiHow page since it seems to affect a few people.
