I have tried searching on the following two questions but there does not appear to be a straight answer ..
1 - On the top of the screen, the portableapps.com name and logo - can this be replaced with one of my design? I know I can click on the right but that is not what I want.
2 - On the menu, Music, videos, pictures eyc - can I replace those with different folders as I do not use music etc but have other folders I would like to use?
Thanks for any help or insight.
BTW - When is version 2 due out - Is there a date yet?

No, you're talking about the PA logo and slogan. That isn't part of the skin, it's hard coded to appear on top of the skin. You would have to get into the source code and make it not appear, and use a custom skin that puts something else up there - or make the code draw your logo over whatever skin you use. There's a certain web site which deals in illegal portable software, and they have a hacked version of the menu which uses their logo. So it's doable, if you know how. I do not, sorry.
Yes and no. Yes as in you can put other stuff in the folders as appropriate. Then you can tweak the skin to call the folders what you want them called. Windows Explorer will still call them Music, Video, and Pictures, however.
I believe it was John Carmack of id Software, of Doom and Quake fame who popularized the line, "It's done when it's done" or something like that, in reference to games. Due to a number of factors, most notably including personal lives, something to which we can all relate, the PortableApps dev team have pretty much adopted that slogan. The latest version is 1.6 Pre-Release 0, which came out 2-3 months ago, with a Pre-Release 1 promised "in the next couple days". Few months later Pre-Release 0 is still the latest. But it's good! It has sorting (well, you can send apps to the "top" or "bottom") but the sorting gets buggered every time you add an app. Remove or send an app from or to the top or bottom, and then put it back, and all will be fine again. No biggie.
