That's understandable, though the guide you read is pretty much it I'm afraid; and it's pretty crap for most users, as can be demonstrated by the volume of people who put up begging posts asking "please can you 'portabalize' XYZ for me!"
You'll have to give more information on what you're looking to portabalize though, if you're to get any help on this forum - e.g. what software it is you're looking to do this to?
Which guide. Mine? You mean the one that I've put time into? oops . . . .

I wasn't trying to point fingers, and understand documentation takes time, but the documentation on here in general isn't really enough atm.
I did kick off a thread at:
https://portableapps.com/node/20229
to try and stimulate a dialog, and get things moving on, but noone really cares about documentation enough to bother, so I haven't done a Part 2 (yet!)
Except for yourself, it seems! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE (and yes, for once I'm actually shouting) KEEP GOING!
I'm not sure which you wrote - but the complete lack of good documentation is a major problem with the portableapps.com format - as demonstrated by the number of begging posts on here.
It's a complicated process. The guide assumes you know a bit more than I, or clearly you do. Sometimes I'm on wikiHow and I read a guide for how to do something in The GIMP or Photoshop, and it loses me. I try to read it, but it evades me. Doesn't mean it's badly written.
Even if the guide were so good that it could make you and I into programmers as good as JTH and others, people would still ask how to portablize stuff, especially IE and Office.
No worries on the bad english.
What application are you looking to portablize?

I as portablized the free pascal to windows ASCII, but I don't understand the guide for portableapps installer. And I as promoved the project in a portuguese forum.
Portugal is cool.
