FF 3.5.1 Low Memory

Perhaps you might consider temporarily removing FF updates 3.5x from the PortableApps offerings.

Firefox 3.5 and 3.5.1 have a pernicious memory leakage, not attributed to any add-ons but to Firefox itself, where it constantly causes Warning: Low Memory warning messages and most of Firefox's functionality stops. Scripts stop running and the computer system can no longer properly display the Firefox browser window or message windows.

For more details, search the Mozilla Firefox forum for "Warning: Low Memory".

Never Seen

I use Firefox as my primary browser sometimes up for days at a time and I've seen no such behavior from 3.5. I searched around and there is a small but significant group of users affected. Consensus seems to be an extension or possibly video issue. Either way, Firefox 3.5 is the official stable release and used by millions, so it is our official stable release as well. You can still switch back to 3.0.x if you're one of the users affected by this issue.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Actually...

... according to the Mozilla forum, extensions have been ruled out, and I've been able to verify that by running a "vanilla" copy without add-ons. The culprit is Firefox itself, and I hope they're able to fix it soon. I otherwise like 3.5 very much and want to be able to use it.

However, I understand it isn't a universal problem. Sorry if I spoke too soon... but others who are having the issue can at least know they're not alone.

Cheers!
