Creating your own Portable Mozilla Firefox 3.0.12 with PortableApps.com Installer

1. Download and perform a fresh installation for the original Mozilla Firefox 3.0.12
2. Download and extract PortableApps's Mozilla Firefox 3.0.11 into a temporary directory, say C:\FirefoxPortable
3. Copy and overwrite everything from C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox into C:\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox
4. Edit C:\FirefoxPortable\App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini and change PackageVersion and DisplayVersion to 3.0.12.0 and 3.0.12 respectively. Save the changes
5. Download and install the PortableApps.com Installer from https://portableapps.com/apps/development/portableapps.com_installer
6. Launch PortableApps.comInstaller.exe and click Next
7. Create Installer For: C:\FirefoxPortable and click Go
8. A FirefoxPortable_3.0.12_English.paf.exe will be created in C:\. Click Finish.

I am unsure if anything else needs to be configured/modified. That's all I have for the moment.

I have found better way to update

Download Firefox Portable 3.0.12 from other sites and:

1. install it in other directory, and it creates the folder "FirefoxPortable" (3.0.12),
2. search inside the main folder one called "Firefox", and copy it,
3. now go to the folder "FirefoxPortable" (3.0.11), and paste the folder "Firefox" over the same one of the old version.
4. start FirefoxPortable and after compatibility test it will works OK.

Illegal Downloads

I know you're new, but please stop recommending illegal downloads from other sites. This is your 3rd and final warning.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
