I'm new to the whole 'portable app' thing, and would like to have Metatrader, a currency trading platform, made portable. their website: www.metaquotes.net

Do I have to have access to the source code to make a program portable?

Well,

For licensing issues, we usually can't portablize (or is it portablise?) closed source programs.
Anyway, I assume you are talking about the client terminal?
