I was wondering if anyone would be interested in working on this. I know there is LinCity out there, but for me it's just not the same.

i use to play the original simcity when i was like 7. it was on a old pc i found. i love to have a portable version of it. To remind me and my dad of the good old days lol.

It looks to me that it is only for Linux and OLPC. Sorry, I can't be of any help.
if you had read the wiki the source is not the windows or dos code. it was taken from the macintosh version so i doubt it will be a simple task making it into a windows use able program let alone portable. there is another Sim City clone out there that has been portablized in the beta forums.
Technically its C++ and python (via SWIG), which is cross-platform. Its just that no one's actually compiled or modified the source for windows yet.
