Blocked by work firewall. What kind of game is it?
Games take up so much space because of resources they use: textures, maps, music, and sometimes video. Some things can be compressed, but many others can't. PortableApps.com has an app called AppCompactor which compresses EXE files (Windows executables, the file that starts your program, or in this case, game) but that won't put a huge dent in the file size of a game.
Good thing is, flash drives are getting bigger. The fair market value in the US for a 4GB flash drive is $10-15. That's plenty big enough for a 400MB game. Portable hard drives seem to start at 40-60GB, but the 250-320GB drives aren't much more.
fps game were u can be a wolf and some other stuff. it already has the maps for it already in the game files so u dont need to download any. the only thing it does need to do is patch every so often when a patch comes out its fairly new. once the program is started it brings up a game launcher (sort of like world of warcrafts). hope this answers some of your questions. also on my person computer i compress it a bit and it worked but i had to stay away from a few files. srry i dont remembr what they were though.
