hi all,
I am looking for some nice portable mp3 player able to view album cover like WMP or Amarok for example.
Currently using XMPlay, also tried Coolplayer, portable Winamp etc.
does anybody here know one?
thanks
PS: I have many albums from Jamendo, and I want to create selection on CD with autorun and player and displaying album covers in player would be very nice although it is not necessary.
I use XMPlay too, have you tried the
Album and Cover Art Vis Plugin?
Also, try MPUI for your autorun CD -
"Using a special autorun.inf file, self-playing DivX CDs can be made. This adds only 3.5 MB to your CD, and on the computer playing the disc, no codecs need to be installed."
Works with MP3s too... no album art though
:-(
foobar2000 is the solution, try it, you'll never look back.
During the installation, you can select the "Portable Mode".
Note that it isn't open source nor in PAF format, but who cares :).
VLC supposedly supports album art
I believe the correct wording is that VLC seems to support cover art, has a placeholder for cover art, has an option to download cover art (which I have never tried), but can't read cover art from mp3 files encoded in what should be standard ID3 tags by Mp3Tag.
These songs show their cover art about half the time on my Motorola phone, but that Mp3 player (it's the Napster co-branded one) is buggy anyway. I'll put the same cover on an entire album and half the album will have the cover, and the other half gets the placeholder cover. Not that the cover is legible anyway at about a quarter inch square, but whatever.
Songbird Portable hands down
