Crappy firefox logo

Why did the firefox logo get so bad from 3.0 to 3.5? I personally think that the new logo looks too cartoony. I looked at my FFP files to try and find out which icon it was but I couldn't find it. Does any one know what it is?

It's cause thats the real FF

It's cause thats the real FF logo. And, to change to Icon, you have to change appicon.ico in the /app/appinfo folder then recompile the launcher.

Use the search box! Please!

Its the same fox-on-planet idea

its just that it turned more cartoony. The bigger icon is shiny but the small on is crappy.

Changed the flame effect, added a small shadow, etc.
No major changes.

16x16 icons are serious business... there's only so much you can do with 256 dots in a square grid.

Oh, I see the shadow now. Wouldn't have noticed it if I weren't looking. That makes it look kinda spiffy. I only see the change in the flame effect in the article, the icon in question doesn't look any different, but then I don't see a before-and-after of the icons.

Still, how 'bout a rendering of Foxkeh for the logo? Kind of like the favicon for that site... maybe that would end the debate? ;-)
