Portable FF is hanging

It didn't happen at first... but recently as I am using FF it will hang/freeze for time frames from 5-25 seconds at a time randomely. I can be doing anything and it will just hang/freeze and then come back and be fine. If I am putting in a password and it stalls and I continue entering digits, it will just spurt out all the password when it comes back.

Strange and annoying. Today I upgraded to the newest version of FF and it appears to still have a problem.

Every so often I get a file is corrupted message again regarding a particular file or two in my Portable FF folder on my USB drive.

Some steps

1. Post a list of your extensions
2. Download a fresh copy and see if that works
3. Post a copy of the ini file you are using (if you are)
4. We'll take it from there.

I don't have any extensions

I don't have any extensions for my portable version of firefox, and I don't know about using an ini file. Where would that be?

I just did a fresh install of portable ff. When I try to delete the entire folder on my usb drive it doesn't let me because of some cookies related icon within my Profile folder. It deletes it then it shows right back up. When I try to delete the Portable FF folder it says folders are not empty. So I install FF rite over and replace all.

Well it still hangs for a

Well it still hangs for a few seconds every so often and I do not have any extensions installed.

Also, every so often when I open up FF, my bookmarks are completely gone. It appears to be some sort of error or something.

I have to wait til I get home and import my favorites back into portable FF because if I try to import from the bookmarks backup file on my usb... it doesn't work.
