Whenever I try to send an email, it shows "enter your password for ***** on smtp.mail.yahoo.com". I promptly fill up my yahoo mail plus password and I check the "use password manager to remember this password".
Then it shows "enter your password for ***** on smtp.mail.yahoo.com again and again even I check the remember password.
Once I press cancel sending.
It says "Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to the smtp server smtp.mail.yahoo.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Pls verify that your SMTP server is correct and try again or else contact your server administrator.
How can I check the smtp settings when I see that there are only 2 options in TP. Either using default server and using smtp.mail.yahoo.com(default)
This problem only occurs in TP in my Ironkey Flash drive. No such problem in my Thunderbird installed in my PC.
Been tweaking this problem for 2 days and now my yahoo emails take forever to download to this program
Any help would be very appreciated
You are using the wrong smtp setting if you have ATT. They changed all the pop and smtp a bit ago. If you have ATT try using smtp.att.yahoo.com, if not using ATT be sure you are using the correct port for that smtp. Also if you have more than one account, remember you have to set up an smtp for each account you have. Hope this helps as that's about all I can think of!
