RocketDock - FireFox problem

Hi

I found this program and looks ok bit different to the portableapps menu but I wondered about how to stop firefox from opening a new window each time.

As I've been mucking around with so-called portable applications generally I found for example Skype you must set a value in the ini file but is there any such thing for Mozilla? Thanks

What? Firefox starts every time RocketDock starts?

And theres really no reason to mess with the files from firefox portable (unless your adding a plugin).

Hello. I quite firefox, saved

Hello.

I quite firefox, saved my bookmarks to a file and started with "flock".

It may not be as up to date but at least it tells me when the program is in use.

What may not be up to date and what tells you when the program is in use?

First off, I know what site

First off, I know what site is being discussed without a link.

If you look at the site, you'll see there is actually NO affiliation with us, the name isn't the same and the trademarks are pretty much a ripoff. That's why they are illegal though, they are blatantly ripping off our work, and then violating licenses and EULAs in the process.

Stop releasing source

Stop releasing source then.

Like all good hackers they seem to have managed to adapt it for commercial softs.

At first glance I thought that it was this place but under a different name and that developers here were extorting commercial software makers in order to bring socialism to the internet.

There's a reason it is called

There's a reason it is called "Open Source Software" They can use the code all they want, if they follow the GPL, which they aren't doing, just like JohnTHaller said.

The POINT of the matter is that you are linking to them, which is not allowed on the site. So all other arguments aside, it is highly suggested that you stop.

Are you a moderator? In case

Are you a moderator?

In case you didn't notice I haven't posted any links or made any references so buddy you're a bit late on the trigger!

Anyway, it's the site owner whoever developers' fault for releasing the source I had nothing to do with, I was simply asking some questions and I have no opinion on what is right or wrong here only to follow the rules of this site in order to post.

That said I still say that closing the source a bit more in particular for the installer might be a good idea since if you think about it, why does it even need to be open at all?

Fair enough the applications themselves can be open and re-distributable etc, but the menu is not really an application in and of itself but is rather a program launcher, installer/uninstaller etc and if it really wants to gain any traction in the future it will need to compete on the same terms as commercial software hence my reference to "rocket dock".

I use both by the way, since PAP is great to manage the applications, install/uninstall etc, that is it's real strength I believe.

It is not a Top Level Domain

It is not a Top Level Domain so to say "typo" etc isn't really true.

In any case I don't want to bear the brunt for either mafia type activities or mismanagement, it's not me who made that site or blog.

I'm itching to know what this website is

I look for online for anything I could think of and found this on google
http://www.adrforum.com/domains/decisions/506524.htm

Which I thought was really interesting

But anyway (don't get mad if I'm wrong) could you link a google search to the website? (curiosity kills the cat and I'm itching to get murdered :P)

No one can give you the link

No one can give you the link because there's no PM feature in this forum, also the chat uses disposable names.

What this place should do is have a newsgroup with full open source code that mirrors the forum in enough ways to be useful.
