Eraser Drop and half downloaded file to delete?

Just wondering if EraserDrop Portable, or just Eraser Portable can erase a file that started downloading but then it got interuppted. Now I have the download icon of the file @ 0kb. I tried to delete it/recycle bin it but it says that there is no file. I've tried renaming it but there is no file to rename. I tried redownloading it, but it just makes a new version.

I doubt it

I think Eraser uses the windows command and thus wont be able to do it either.
What happens if you reboot and retry?

well, if its 0kb, then it

well, if its 0kb, then it uses no space right? if it really annoys you that much, you can just hide the icon by right clicking on the icon->properties->hide. You gotta have admin rights, though.

You've got something else

You've got something else more seriously wrong here. You use a download manager or something? You shouldn't have undeletable files from failed downloads. Antivirus/antimalware software interfering maybe?

from old file convertor ...

that I downloaded probably a year ago. So it is merely cosmetic that it bugs me.

I am trying to remember, but it was a wireless download and the file was being converted from a video to just mp3 song file. Computer went out midway.

I'll try disabling the antivirus to see if that works. The system is clean of everything though.
