Try this:

Try this:
VirtualDubMod

But it leaves Registry info, so get a launcher here:
PortableVirtualDubMod

Maybe web based video editing will work?

I recently stumbled upon a link to a web based AJAX application that you can use to edit and share videos. The address is http://www.eyespot.com/ and it should be free.

I've never tried it, but it should work this way:
- Upload the video
- Edit in your browser
- When you stop editing the server remaster your video
- You can download or publish your modified video

Hope it helps

Or you could...

Or you could use SUPER from http://portablefreeware.com/ I use that one myself at the suggestion of someone else on this forum. Very fast and easy and does just about every format.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you do or say will be exaggerated or mis-quoted and used against you.

I'd be interested in helping

I'd be interested in helping with a non-linear video editing portable app.

Sourceforge has a few:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/minivs/ (looks like it was done as a class project and is no longer supported)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pitivi/ (may be in same status)

Couple other possibilities:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/openvip/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/movica/

I'm somewhat familiar with NSIS, and would be willing to help. Smile

portable video app

I would like to see Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects as portables... I own the programs of course, but have no idea how to make the launchers or if it is even possible...

thanks

Don't look for those here.

Both of those Adobe products are neither open-source or freeware. As a matter of fact, I'm quite sure Adobe guards it's copyrights like a rabid pitbull, so I'd look to Adobe for any portable version of it's software.

No go ado-bee

Yeah, not much chance of running those portably.

I have found this:
http://www.debugmode.com/wax/

I half-way figured out a launcher for it (big trick is having it create a folder under My Documents), but haven't figured out what type of avi it prefers. Sometimes it works to import, sometimes it don't.
