Hi,
I've been using TBP 1.5.0.5 for 4 years and about 1 months ago I dicovered the following bug that I cannot solve yet - every time I move cursor to Incoming to one of my gmail accounts - TBP freezes for several minutes and then shows number of emails that exceed several times the real number of emails that are in the folder.
Seems like a bug in the database. I tried to recreate the account and move the email from the old folder to a new one, but it does not help.
Any suggestions how to solve it?
Please contact Mozilla for support about this issue, as it's clearly an issue in Thunderbird rather than Thunderbird Portable.

Thanks, Christian
I presume that you are trying to insert a snide remark there by calling me a Christian in that way; if not, sorry. I merely say what I said because we just can't help - Mozilla are the ones who made the application, they're the ones that know about such things. We just made it portable. I'm telling you that you should go to them for support because otherwise you won't get support - we can't help you here.

I wondered that when I read his comment, but I think on balance that he thought that the "Christian" in your sig was actually your full name, followed by the fact that you are a dev and mod, in the sense that Chris can be short for Christian.
Either way, the OP will be lucky to get support for 1.5 series even over at the mozilla forums.
Personally, I would suggest biting the bullet and migrating up to version 2, which is an easy update to 3.0 when it comes out in probably some time in December.
With regards to the "whatever works for you" comment, which would usually be vaild, I'd just like to point out that at the moment, it isn't working, or he wouldn't be posting here
Didn't even occur to me that it could be read that way... maybe I should rearrange the order, but it is important to me that the label of Christian is first in my life, so it's staying where it is
Sorry then

Yeah, if you just look at your comments quickly, "Christian" is in the place where your name would be in the signature. And, since many people use handles for their logins and put their name in their signature, it's an easy mistake to make quickly.
Might I suggest "I am a Christian, developer, moderator... and more"
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I would have jumped to the same conclusion since your name is Chris. It's not a big leap to assume that Christian is you full first name. BTW, I have 2 friends named Christian.
Errmmm....are you aware that the current build is at 2.0.0.23?

yes
tried to update it, but seems that the folder structure is different in 1st and 2nd editions, so I decided to stay on my one.
whatever works for you...

Since I'm in the same boat, TB 2 and 3 don't work well for me either. I have a blank copy of TBP 1.5.0.14 if you want to try that. I also have the .exe for the installed version as well. It has 14 extensions, 5 themes if needed.
